Jeera Rice with Peas

This is the easiest pulao you can make !! It goes well with meat curries and kormas of all kinds.

 

Ingredients:

1.)     2 ½ cups Basmati rice (or any long grained rice) washed and drained

2.)     1 Tsp jeera (cumin seeds)

3.)     1 cup frozen peas

4.)     3 Tbsp ghee

5.)     Juice of 1 lemon

6.)     5 cups hot water

7.)     Salt to taste

 

Method:

Heat ghee and add jeera. Add the drained rice and stir fry for few minutes till all the rice grains are separate. Add the hot water, lemon juice and salt and bring to boil. Now add the peas and cook on low till rice is done.
