Baked Masala Salmon

This is a very easy salmon dish. Looks great and tastes great too. Great dish for parties !!  The dish turns out great with other fish too like tilapia, catfish etc.

 

Ingredients

2 lbs Salmon fillet

½ tsp kosher salt (or regular salt is fine)

½ tsp crushed red pepper

½ tsp cumin powder

½ tsp coriander powder

3 garlic cloves, grated

1 inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and grated

4 tbspn light olive oil or vegetable oil

 

Method

1.       Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush bottom of baking pan with 1 tbspn oil an place Salmon fillet on it (skin side down).

2.       In food processor add the salt, red pepper, cumin and coriander. Grind these together until the coarse salt comes to fine texture. Add remaining oil, ginger and garlic and blend until paste.

3.       Rub the paste evenly over the salmon. Let sit for 15-30 minutes. Bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
